Ink Dye Baby Owls with Natural Bark

Class description

Create unique ink dye baby owls peeking out of a tree hole, accented with natural tree bark to give your gourd a realistic effect.

This class is for all levels of gourders and most will finish although some may want to finish applying the bark at home.

The instructor will provide a clean cut and ready gourd, pattern ready to transfer, tutorial, ink dyes, Formula 49, micro brushes, bark, brush, soap, paper towels and some mod podge.

What you are required to bring

Each student is required to bring the following items to class:

• An emery board,
• Mod podge or diluted Elmers glue
• A razor blade.

Class Cancellation Policy

If a class does not meet the minimum number of students by the class cancellation cut-off date, the class will be cancelled, you will be contacted, and your full registration fee will be refunded.

About the instructor

I was introduced to gourds in 1998. Loved the non-conventional canvas. Self taught in wood burning, carving, ink dye, pen & ink & alcohol ink. Still exploring other mediums. Lately enjoying travel around the country teaching.
