Class description
Learn the technique of manipulating the wood burner tip to create a lightly burned wild horse enhanced with a touch of ink dye.
Each student receives a class-ready gourd, tutorial and pattern ready to transfer. The instructor will provide ink dyes, blending solution, pallets, micro brushes, heat guns, extension cords and power strips for the students to use.
This class is appropriate for all levels of students.
What you are required to bring
Each student is required to bring the following items to class:
- A temperature controlled wood burner with a small rounded skew tip.
About the instructor
Loved to draw when young continued through college. Introduced to gourds in 1998. Loved the non conventional canvas. Self taught wood burning, carving, ink dye, alcohol ink, pen & ink, recently Apoxie Sculpt. Starting teaching 2015. Each gourd is a challenge, with size, shape, and markings enhancing the design.
